the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), and we want you to know that your
health should be your & our top priority.
With the increasing uncertainty and growing number of infected
individuals around the world, we encourage you to take responsibility for
yourself and your family & follow measures as prescribed by experts in
medical field & govt such as using masks, sanitizers, social distancing
& seeking medical help if you’re exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness
etc.
We @GHC are using all technology to process transaction &
request all clients to be connected over phone rather than Physical presence.
Limited office timings, limited staff at office & other team members from
home would be aligned with official direction from stock exchanges to keep
servicing you & preferably through online mode.
As lot of decision making goes in financial world on daily basis
but one needs to stay calm, be aware but Don’t panic & sometimes no
decision is one of best decisions. If
one goes by history of similar outbreak whether its pandemic crises like SARS
in 2003-04, 2000 swine flu, Ebola outbreak 2014 or financial crises like dotcom
bubble in 2000 or Lehman brother crises in 2008, but as things passed it
attracts best people, talent, technology, govt, society, organization to come
together & overcome same in following few years. I don’t know how long It
will take this pandemic of coronavirus to end but certainly one thing is sure
it will end.
Overall, development around the extent of spread of coronavirus,
and economic disruption It causes will continue to keep financial markets
volatile both globally and in India. Remember few words from greatest investor
of all time in financial markets : Sir John Templeton said that “you
can make the most amount of wealth under maximum pessimism, when people are the
most scared & fearful” & according to warren buffet “ Be fearful
when others are greedy , Be greedy when others are fearful”, I think above
two quotes sums up everything & If you are serious investor, just be calm,
be aware , instead this could be one time where one needs to be rational in
irrational market & applies real concept of value investing for long term.
